When I went to Abi (pod 68), I briefly met her partner, George... 'Hi George'. And before we sat down, Abi casually dropped into conversation that George is a deep sea worker, who professional dives and repairs BIG mega structures underwater for a living.
Woah, woah, woah... George, hold the line, don't go anywhere!
Thankfully, upon later request (I was quite persistent... In a nice way), George agreed to sit down with me to chat through his life story... And it DID NOT disappoint.
... Put it this way, we had been chatting for over an hour before we even got to the deep sea work!
Because George use to organise (illegal, but were they, really?) raves and make and produce dance/rave music... Pretty successfully, before he decided to go a bit more 'normal' (ha!) and give diving a go. Which meant there was 'a lot' to unpack even before we started talked about how he got into diving, and then 'mega' diving; and how any of that remotely works.
And, look, I could waffle on here and give away nugget after nugget from the pod, but you really just need to go and listen to George's story for yourself... It's mad, it's funny and we are so damn lucky that we got to chat to him, and share his story on TWWork.
