89: Meet Luci: A bad-ass corporate VP and management consultant...

If I didn't know that Luci had a bad-ass job, I wouldn't look and chat to her and pick up on it. She is so thoroughly unassuming, and the total opposite of what I'm sure many of her male counterparts have always, and still do, present themselves as.

I know Luci, because her daughter is one of my daughter's best friends; and even though I tend to interact with her husband more, because as they both admit, Tom (her husband), is the main childcarer ('cos Luci's career = bad-ass), what interaction I've had with Luci has always been fun and super interesting.

Because Luci is fun and super interesting. Her job is a reflection of that, and we discuss (maybe not in the final edit) how her brilliant combination of charisma and capability have propelled her on/down the career journey she's had... Where her charisma has perhaps failed, her innate smarts, skills and capability have stepped in, and vice versa.

As such, Luci has worked for some amazing names and travelled (and been based) around the world. It's awe-inspiring... To little old me, anyway.

Being the feminist that I am, I had to put Luci's pod live after Maddy's, just so we can have a female power fest couple of weeks. Next week will be a man, to balance things out ;-)
