Not only was coming across Manisha great for TWWork, but it was also great for me, because I have been meaning to find a maths tutor for my daughter or AGES, now that she has started het GCSEs... And now I've found a brilliant, highly vetted framework to do just that.
Because as I say to Manisha in the chat, as parents we all desperately want referrals and recommendations for tutoring, not least so that it will work for the added expense; but so far, my enquiries had found 'good' tutors, but not GREAT ones.
Problem solved.
Manisha's story even before tutoring is great... She went from being hugely academic at school and college, to then having a slightly too good a-time and Uni and in doing so, only coming out with a 2:2... Which to most people is still great, however, given what her family knew she was capable of, Manisha's 2:2 wasn't the best.
However, she got a job in a bank, worked for a bit, and then decided she'd like to become a teacher... And teach her (degree-based) knowledge of business and economic to others.
... So she did. Manisha found her 'thing', her 'people' and her 'tribe'. And from there her career took off, as did her after-hours tutoring.
Meaning when Covid struck in 2020, and once she'd worked out zoom etc (like the rest of us), her tutoring ramped up... and ramped up, until she needed help... she needed staff!
Nearly 5 years later, her business offers tutoring in most academic subjects, and covers from primary school right through to the first year of degree level.
Which is blimin' brilliant!
Enjoy Manisha' story.
