76: Meet Jordan: An award winning HR consultant & Chief People Officer...

Writer: ChopsChops

A good friend introduced me to Jordan over a coffee about 6/7 months ago. I was chatting to her about TWWork, including my goals and ambitions for it, and she said, 'Oh you absolutely need to connect with Jordan!'. A what's app intro ensued, followed by a brunch meeting and, well, just a fab immediate connection.

It's fab because Jordan and I are on the same course/the same path in terms of wanting to help people in work, and giving power back to people; we're simply tackling it in different ways. Which is great, because there is no 'one solution' to the global problem we've got... The problem of just how many people are fundamentally unhappy with work, and unhappy in their jobs.

For me, it's about making sure they get the right job in the first place - a job that will really light them up - and then thereafter, the tools to thrive in that job. For Jordan it's about working with senior leaders to ensure that those in work/in jobs are listened to, supported and encouraged to thrive.

... I'm coming at it bottoms-up and he's top-down. Winning combo, right?!

Of course I'm going to get Jordan involved in TWWork in some way, the universe has set it up thus; however, right now he's on his own start-up journey, which is two-fold: 1. Is to work with and coach senior leaders, to be MUCH better leaders, and 2. Is to give a clearer voice to workers, which Jordan can then use to further shape task 1.

But even aside of Jordan's mission, his story and his career journey is great and shows how attitude + aptitude has = immense altitudinal success for him. He also talks a lot about how amazing women have supported and sponsored him over his life and on his journey, which of course, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE.

Watch this space with Jordan, and indeed Jordan and TWWork... ;-)

Enjoy.
